F.A.Q

Frequently asked questions

Welcome to the M.O.R.E of Baltimore FAQ! We know you may have questions about our homeschool co-op, and we're here to help. Below, you'll find answers to the most common inquiries about our programs, enrollment, tuition, and more. If you need additional assistance, feel free to contact us—we're happy to support your homeschooling journey!

Do I need to register for all classes or can I choose just one?

At M.O.R.E of Baltimore, we believe in providing a well-rounded, immersive learning experience. Enrollment includes the full schedule of classes, ensuring your child benefits from our thoughtfully designed program. To maintain the quality of instruction and community experience, tuition covers the entire program rather than individual classes

Are there DISCOUNTS Available?

We sincerely appreciate your understanding that we are unable to offer sibling or other discounts. Tuition directly supports our dedicated and passionate instructors who provide high-quality education to our students.  However, parent-teachers receive a tuition discount for their children in the classes they instruct.

What are the class size requirements?

Each class requires a minimum of 8 students to run. If a class does not meet this requirement, M.O.R.E reserves the right to cancel it, and all tuition paid will be immediately refunded.  Each class has a maximum of 12 students, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning environment.

What are the Parent Responsibilities at M.O.R.E?

At M.O.R.E of Baltimore, we value the partnership between families and our learning community. As part of your commitment to the program, parents are required to:

<>Join a Committee – To help support and enhance our homeschool experience, each family must participate in one of the following committees:

  • Field Trip & Special Events Committee – Plan and coordinate bi-monthly field trips and special events.
  • Yearbook Committee – Capture, collect, and organize student photos and videos throughout the year.
  • Buddy Program Committee – Pair upper elementary/middle school students with younger students to foster social and emotional connections.
  • Fundraising Committee – Plan and execute events to help meet our annual budget goals.
  • B.O.S.S. Committee – Organize our "Business Owner Speaker Series" by inviting and scheduling local Black entrepreneurs to speak.

<> Volunteer 10 Hours Per Year – Parents are required to volunteer at least 10 hours annually in roles such as:

  • Teacher Assistant
  • Front Desk Support
  • Cafeteria Assistant
  • Recess Assistant

If the volunteer requirement is not met, families agree to pay $20 per unworked hour, up to a maximum of $200 per year.

What is the Refund Policy?

At M.O.R.E of Baltimore, we carefully plan our classes based on enrollment, and tuition helps us secure top-quality instructors and resources for our students. While we understand that circumstances may change, our refund policy reflects our commitment to maintaining a sustainable and high-quality program.

• Before Classes Begin: If a parent chooses to disenroll before the first day of class, they are eligible for a 100% refund.

• First Four Weeks (Through September 30): If a parent disenrolls within the first four weeks of class, they will receive a 50% refund, as their child’s spot was reserved, and resources were allocated.

• After October 1: No refunds will be issued, as tuition is used to cover instructor salaries, class materials, and operational costs.

Exceptions: In rare and extenuating circumstances (such as a documented medical issue or family relocation), M.O.R.E may consider partial refunds on a case-by-case basis.
